  Description

  The design of this single story prototypical LEED elementary school for the School District of Pasco County is based on the continuous process learning concept. Ten “instructional teaching pods”, housed in four academic buildings provide flexibility for students to move to the instruction level that meets their needs.  The open courtyard and orientation of the buildings allows for complete security and supervision.  Students can access every occupied space including the administration suite without exiting the courtyard.  At the time of construction, the cost of this 80,000 square foot facility was $1,000,000.00 less than the District’s previous prototype elementary school.
