  Description

  80,000 square foot, single story, prototype elementary school designed for the School District of Pasco County.  With safety at the forefront, this school is configured around an exterior courtyard for complete protection and immediate lock-down capabilities throughout the time school is in session. The plan which is organized into four classroom pods, provides individual distinct neighborhoods within the overall campus. The media center, multi-purpose room and the dining facilities include separate exterior entrances making these spaces accessible to the community for after-hour activities.

  This LEED Gold prototype elementary school was constructed at a cost of $1,000,000.00 less the District’s previous prototype.  The District ultimately built four different versions of this prototype design which resulted in a savings that exceeded $4,000,000.00.
